Description
Development and application of software in the field of medical physics has been to a large extent decoupled from similar developments in high energy physics. Still many problems and solutions are common to both fields. TRIUMF carries in addition to its program in high and intermediate energy particle physics a substantial life-science program. The role and application of software in the TRIUMF medical physics program is shown for proton therapy and single photon emission computed tomography. (orig.)
