Application of the analogy between mass, energy- and momentum transfer to the calculation of the critical heat flux in subcooled boiling of liquid a tube
Description
Considered is the application of a method of analogy between the transfers of mass, pulse and energy in the simplest form to calculate the boiling crisis. As a result, a simplified equation is obtained for a critical heat flow at a boiling state of the considerably underheated fluid that flows in a pipe at a high rate. The equation does not contain empiric coefficients determined in the course of the experiments on the boiling crisis. The calculated values of the critical heat flow are compared with the available experimental data and the ways of verifying the calculational equation are revealed
