Metastable oxygen O(1D) in cometary atmospheres

Description
Distribution of metastable oxygen O(1D) in cometary atmospheres with parent molecules of H2O and CO2 in the direction to the Sun is investigated. Radiation rate of OI 6300 A red line is determined. Profiles of shock deactivation of O(1D) are obtained. The results obtained are the basis for the study of two- and three-dimensional models of OI 6300 A red
