Some comments on the determination of kinetic crystallization parameters of metallic glasses

Description
The influence of the complexity of crystallization of metallic glasses on the determination of kinetic parameters of the process by classical methods is investigated. The importance of a non-Arrhenian temperature dependence of crystal growth rate and sample size or chemical inhomogeneity effects is discussed. (author)
