Total kinetic energy release in the fission of excited nuclei

Description

The total kinetic energy (TKE) release of the fissioning nuclei 236U and 232Th was measured as function on the excitation energy E(x) above the highest fission threshold B(f). Little energy dissipation is indicated for excitation energy within an interval of 2Δ=1.5 MeV above B(f)

Die totale kinetiese energie (TKE) vrygestel deur die klowende kerne 236U en 232Th is as funksie van die opwekkingsenergie E(x) bokant die hoogste klowingsdrumpel B(f) gemeet. Min energiedissipasie word vir die opwekkingsenergie in die interval 2Δ=1.5 MeV bokant B(f) gevind
