Description
An effective method is presented for dynamic analysis of directly loaded, perhaps embedded, structures on pile foundations. The method works in the frequency domain. The materials are assumed to be elastic or visco-elastic. Using the method, the dynamic stiffness and damping coefficients of several pile groups are computed. A new dimensionless frequency ratio is introduced which simplifies the interpretation of the results. (orig.)
