Measurement of aircrew radiation exposure according to the new ICRU 95 recommendation

  • 1. Ustav jaderne fyziky AV CR, Praha (Czech Republic)

Description

By using a number of authors' experiments on board aircraft and in the calibration device CERF (CERN's high Energy Reference Field facility) implemented as part of the CRREAT project, measurements of different types of detectors sensitive to different types of radiation were compared in this work. The contribution will explain the proposal of the method for determining a new operational quantity from the measured data and present the results of the comparison of both operational quantities (H(10), H) and the effective dose calculated for the given flight using the CARI-7A program.
