A new technique for studying magnetic order and the spin dependence of electron scattering by means of photoemission
Creators

Description
Electrons from multiplet split photoemission peaks are partially spin polarized with respect to the direction of the absorber atom magnetic moment and may be separated by means of an energy analyzer. The splitting may then serve as a convenient polarizer for studying effects such as the spin dependence of electron scattering from the local environment of the absorber atom and the short ragne magnetic structure about the absorber atom.
