Description
Clinical examination and treatment of 314 patients with delayed radiation injuries of the intestine after radiation therapy of malignant tumours of abdominal cavity and pelvic organs were performed. Endoscopic study is very important in the diagnostics of the intestinal radiation injury. The intestinal absorption malfunction is a manifestation of its radiation injury, which requires a corresponding correction. Local treatment of the intestine should be based on the phase nature of pathological changes: in case of expressed inflammation injections of 5-10% solution of dimexide in the form of microenema are quite effective, and subsequently - the application of oil and emulsion rich in vitamins. To correct the intestinal malfunctioning parenteral nutrition is recommended
