Description
Positron annihilation experiments were performed on a series of aluminum alloys showing well known sequences of precipitation after quench: Al-Mg, Al-Ge, Al-Zn, Al-Ag and Al-Cu. All the thermal treatments of homogenizing and annealing before and after quench were performed under controlled argon atmosphere. The positron data have been obtained with a conventional Doppler-broadening apparatus using a high purity germanium detector. (Auth.)
