Phase diagram of system Mn-Ln-O (Ln = Y, Tm) in air

Description
Subsolidus phase diagrams of systems Mn-Ln-O (Ln = Y, Tm) were plotted in the air in the range of temperatures from 850 to 1400 deg C using the method of X-ray phase analysis. It was ascertained that the diagrams plotted are similar to the previously obtained phase diagrams of Mn-R-O (R = Pr, Nd, Sm, Er, Yb, Lu), being characterized by the presence of two binary oxides, i.e. LnMnO3 and LnMn2O5. Dependences of temperature of the RMn2O5 type binary oxides thermal dissociation on ordinal number of the rare earth, number of 4f-electrons in R3+ cations and their ionic radii, were obtained
Abstract (Russian)
С использованием метода рентгенофазового анализа построены субсолидусные фазовые диаграммы систем Mn-Ln-O (Ln = Y, Tm) на воздухе в интервале температур 850-1400 град С. Установлено, что полученные диаграммы аналогичны изученным ранее фазовым диаграммам Mn-R-O (R = Pr, Nd, Sm, Er, Yb, Lu) и характеризуются наличием двух бинарных оксидов LnMnO3 и LnMn2O5. Получены зависимости температуры термической диссоциации бинарных оксидов типа RMn2O5 от порядкового номера редкоземельного элемента, числа 4f-электронов катионов R3+ и их ионных радиусовAdditional details
