Description

Using a one-dimensional model, the retention of fission product by a reactor component is calculated for three scenarios. They are the retention of fission product from a flow of steam/nuclide vapor mixture, the retention of fission product from a flow of steam/nuclide vapor and particulate mixture and pool scrubbing. For all three cases, the important dimensionless parameters which are relevant to the retention process are identified and their effects are illustrated quantitatively
