Description
Multiplicities of negative pions and other charged particles have recently been measured at 1.8 GeV/nuclon. These data are analyzed. The distributions of multiplicities reflect mainly geometrical properties, while the mean values contain information about dynamics. No evidence is found for non-linear effects. (Auth.)
