Description
In Great Britain, an excess of leukemia and lymphomas has been observed in the 0-24 years old population, around a certain number of nuclear facilities. The nuclear production of electricity, is in France relatively old and very important because it represents 82% of the total production. It was necessary to study the mortality in the communes around French nuclear installations. We study the mortality between 0 and 64 years for the leukemia and the principal localizations of cancers which have been associated to ionizing radiations. The results have been presented separately for each of the 13 principal nuclear installations operating before 1985 with La Hague and Marcoule. (N.C.)
