Inelastic scattering of pions to the continuum

Spectra of 60-MeV π+ inelastically scattered from Ni, Zr, Sr, and Pb are presented. The preliminary results suggest that folding-model optical potentials using free-particle parameters are not valid for low-energy pions. 4 figures
