Fluoride-molybdates of heavy rare earths

Description
Conditions for synthesizing heavy lanthanide fluoridemolybdates in aqueous solutions under normal conditions and in hydrothermal regime are studied. Fluoridemolybdates of the composition LnMoO4FxnH2O (Ln=Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, n=0-0.5) are prepared. It is established, that OH-groups are present in the compound composition, their number being dependent on the synthesis conditions. The compounds are identified using the methods of chemical, X-ray diffraction analysis and IR spectroscopy. The compounds are found to be stable in a dry atmosphere up to 1000 deg C
