Peculiarities of energy-independent binding of Casup(2+) ions by mitochndria of rea seedlings and impairment thereof by X-radiation
Creators
Description
The study of the energy-independent binding of Ca2+ ions by mitochondria of pea seedlings showed that there was only one type of binding sites in the membrane which possesed a low affinity for Ca2+ ions. Exposure of mitochondria to ionizing radiation decreased the number of binding sites in the membrane and changed their affinity for Ca2+ ions
