Electrochemical stepwise formation of metal phases of different dimensionality

Description

Metal deposition on foreign substrate occurs stepwise as found by in situ local probe measurements. On the basis of structural experimental results, thermodynamics and kinetics of the initial steps of electrocrystallization forming 0D, 1D, and 2D Me phases in the undersaturation range and 3D Me phases in the supersaturation range are discussed.
