Description
Using diffraction methods of electron microscopy of thin foils the effect of compressing uniaxial stress has been studied on the aging process of the Ni-Be and Cu-Be alloys (tempering under load). It has been found that tempering under load results in a substantial change in the decomposition process; the effect of external loading stipulates for the nucleation of second phase particles of a certain orientation; with the formation of particles of the same orientation a new type of their spatial distribution is observed, as well as the change in the character of elastic distortions field around the precipitated phase nucleation
