Description
The elastic photoproduction cross section of π0-mesons in the γ+9Be → π0+9Be reaction, calculated in the impulse approximation framework, satisfactorily describes the results of recent experiments on the coherent production of π0-mesons in the γ+9Be → π0+9Be reaction. It is concluded from the differences between the experimental and calculated quantities that 1) the elastic photoproduction prevails in the coherent photoproduction of π0-mesons in the region of the Δ (1232)-resonance excitation; 2) the interaction of a pion produced with a nucleus negligibly changes the differential cross section of the γ+9Be → π0+9Be reaction at the pion exit angles THETA < 10 deg
