Radiation effect on graphite in high temperature gas cooled reactors
Description
The article present the results of soviet and foreign authors on different aspects of investigating the radiation resistance of graphite as the main structural material for power plants. The effect of the exposure on radiation-induced changes of properties of carbon materials has been considered. The data are presented on investigation of pyrographite as a model material permitting the accumulation of radiation defects to be studied and the behaviour of polycrystal graphite neutron irradiation to be forecasted
