Structural-phase changes in Fe - 30% Ni alloy thin films under P+

Description
Structural-phase changes in Fe - 30% Ni alloy films under 80 KeV P+ ion irradiation have been studied. It has been found the amorphization of the thin films takes place at the dose of 1.7x1017 ion/cm2. At greater and lower doses the films are crystalline and contain iron-nickel phosphides. It has been shown that the chemical composition of the amorphized films is near to that of a deep eutectic in the Fe - P and Ni - P phase diagrams. (author)
