Description

The paper describes the history of construction of one of the first seismic stations in the former USSR for long-range detection of nuclear explosions and the establishment, on its base, of a geophysical observatory - 'Borovoe'. The paper describes the chronology of observation systems development, experiments, seismic events, and record archives, and characterizes the main research results. (author)
