Description
The primary aim of hot plasma physics in controlled thermonuclear research is the study of plasma energy property and thermal insulation of the magnetic confinement system. The energy parameters include the total plasma energy or temperature of the plasma components (electrons and ions). The main (global) characteristics of plasma confinement in magnetic systems are the energy confinement time and the charge-particle lifetime. Having found the total plasma energy and heating power, we are able to determine the global energy lifetime: tau=W/(P-dW/dt). That is why the problem of finding the plasma energy is of primary importance. It is only one particular but at the same time the most important problem
