Description
In the GDR, the ZIS (Central Institute of Welding of the German Democratic Republic) created a centralized training system for all experts in the field of welding and testing technology in nuclear engineering. After almost three years of practical experience it can be said that the technological maturity and quality consciousness of all experts trained by the system has grown and thus an essential contribution to an even greater reliability and safety of welded nuclear components and installations has been made. Abstract (German)
In der DDR wurde durch das ZIS ein zentral geleitetes einheitliches Ausbildungssystem fuer alle Fachleute auf dem Gebiet der Schweiss- und Prueftechnik fuer die Kerntechnik geschaffen. Nach fast dreijaehriger Praxis kann festgestellt werden, dass die technische Reife und das Qualitaetsbewusstsein aller ausgebildeten Fachleute gewachsen ist und damit ein wesentlicher Beitrag zur weiteren Erhoehung der Zuverlaessigkeit und Sicherheit geschweisster kerntechnischer Komponenten und Anlagen geleistet wurde.
