Description
A three- and four-body classical trajectory Monte Carlo method is used to determine the doubly differential cross sections for the electron capture to the continuum process in the 25 keV H+ + H and 25 keV H + H collisions at 0o observation angle. In the three-body approach to the H + H collisions, the role of the projectile electron was taken into account using a screened Coulomb potential around the projectile. The existence of the cusp-like peak in the electron spectra at neutral projectile impact is shown. The case when the projectile is in the metastable 2s state is also investigated. (author)
