Description
In order to increase the resolution in positive scintigraphy of lung tumors with 67Ga-citrate the use of sup(113m)In-chloride is proposed to make possible the subtraction of the radioactive background caused by 67Ga. Thus the visibility of the lung carcinoma can be considerably improved by decrease of the radioactive 67Ga background and the coefficient of its absorption in the tumor can be increased by the factor 4 to 7. This method of scintigraphy, however, is especially valuable for the subtraction of the additional background arising from increased 67Ga concentration in inflammatory focuses of the environment of the tumor as in retention pneumonia.
