Convergent perturbation series for the anharmonic oscillator
Creators
- 1. Imperial Coll. of Science and Technology, London (UK). Blackett Lab.
Description
The authors derive a new perturbation expansion for the energy levels of the anharmonic oscillator that - contrary to all previous expansions - is convergent. The convergence of the expansion persists both in the weak and strong coupling limits. Three terms in the series give the ground state energy to about one per cent. (Auth.)
