New results obtained in the frame of the coherent state model for the collective bands
Description
The vibrational and rotational limits of the coherent state model (CSM) for three interacting bands are explicitly studied. The nuclear equilibrium shapes obtained for /sup 190/Pt are discussed in connection with those predicted by the γ-unstable model. The extension of CSM by including the first two excited octupole bands is also presented
