Effect of laser post-processing on the optical properties of dark TiO2 prepared by pulsed laser ablation

Description
The effect of laser post-processing during the synthesis by pulsed laser ablation of metallic Ti in water on the structure, optical and photocatalytic properties of TiO2 has been studied. It has been established that additional laser irradiation leads to a decrease of nanoparticles size, an increase of the anatase phase content during structure formation and, as a consequence, a change in the optical properties. Comparative testing of samples in the process of photodegradation of the dye Rhodamine B and phenol under the action of visible radiation source have shown that the most active in these processes is the sample subjected to laser post-processing
Abstract (Russian)
Исследовано влияние лазерной постобработки при синтезе импульсной лазерной абляцией металлического Ti в воде на структуру, оптические и фотокаталитические свойства TiO2. Установлено, что дополнительное лазерное облучение приводит к уменьшению размеров наночастиц, увеличению содержания фазы анатаза при формировании структуры и, как следствие, изменению оптических свойств. При сравнительном тестировании образцов в процессе фотодеградации красителя Родамина Б и фенола под действием источника видимого излучения показано, что наиболее активным в данных процессах является образец, подвергавшийся лазерной постобработкеAdditional details
