  • 1. Kalpakkam Reprocessing Plant, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Facilities, Kalpakkam (India)

Description

The study was focused on the use of 10M nitric acid for the stripping of Pu from the TTA phase containing high amount of Pu. A comparison of the efficiency of stripping by utilizing various carboxylic acids was also investigated. By using oxalic acid the amount of Pu in TTA phase could be brought to a minimum level for its safe disposal. (author)
