Risk of leukaemia from low LET radiation: upper and lower limits based on linear assumption

Description
The major source of data on the risk of leukaemia from radiation is that of atomic bomb survivors. The revision of the radiation dosimetry of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki explosions has led to doubts about the earlier estimates. Here available data points are plotted. Assuming a linear non-threshold form for the dose-effect relationship, lower and upper bound estimates for leukaemia risk are made. (author)
