Variation of magnetic properties of composites filled with soft magnetic FeCoV particles by particle alignment in a magnetic field

  • 1. Faculty of Natural and Materials Sciences, Clausthal University of Technology, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld (Germany)

Description

The change of magnetic properties of soft magnetic composites filled with iron cobalt particles from 10 to 80 vol% filler fraction due to an alignment of particles by an external uniaxial magnetic field was measured. Relative changes of permeability values due to an alignment show an increase with a maximum at 30 vol% filler fraction and losses are reduced for frequencies f >50 Hz. Inner demagnetizing fields are reduced evoked by a more micro-homogeneous structure of the composite sample material
