Effects of additives on ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 passivation glasses
Description
The addition of BaO, Sb2O3, or Bi2O3 to glass A with composition (weight percent (w/ o) 65.4 ZnO-24.5 B2O3-10.1 SiO2 resulted in more negative surface charge density and increase in the thermal expansion coefficient (α). The glass B, 63 ZnO-29 B2O3-8 SiO2 (w/o) showed finer crystals by the addition of ZnO (1 w/o) or glass A without affecting the surface charge density or α. The effects of additives on the DTA characteristic temperatures of the two glasses are also presented
