Description
The authors discuss the uses of the HTR module, the statements of the TUeV Rheinland concerning the HTR module safety concept, and the economics of HTR modules. The HTR module concept is characterized by the fact that standardized reactor units of the low-power range can be combined into plants of any power desired. One HTR module has a power of 170 MJ/s for process heat generation and of 200 MJ/s for steam generation. Multi-module plants will continue operation even in case of failure of one module. Each module can be started up and shut down separately and can be reconnected as soon as the required operating conditions have been reached again. (orig./KA)
Abstract (German)
Das HTR-Modul-Konzept ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sich standardisierte Reaktoreinheiten kleiner Leistung zu Anlagen in einem weiten Leistungsbereich zusammenschalten lassen. Die Leistung eines Hochtemperaturreaktor-Moduls betraegt fuer die Prozesswaermeerzeugung 170 MJ/s und fuer die Dampferzeugung 200 MJ/s. Mehr-Modulanlagen koennen bei Ausfall einzelner Moduln weiterbetrieben werden. Jeder Modul kann einzeln ab- und angefahren werden und bei Erreichen der Betriebsbedingungen erneut dem Verband zugeschaltet werden. In diesem Vortrag werden die Einsatzgebiete fuer den HTR-Modul, die Beurteilung des Sicherheitskonzeptes des HTR Modul durch den TUeV-Rheinland und die Wirtschaftlichkeit von HTR-Modulanlagen behandelt.
