Synthesis of magnesium borohydride
Description
A description is given of preparation of non-solvated magnesium borohydride containing 99 % Mg(BH4)2, in 80% yield, by the reaction of sodium borohydride and anhydrous magnesium chloride in the medium of diethyl ether. The reaction is conducted with excess of sodium borohydride, at the temperature of boiling ether and with intense stirring during 20-25 hours
