Registering electromagnetic impulses during thermal excitation of irradiated phosphate glasses

Description
Results are cited on phenomena study of electromagnetic radiation in alumophosphate glasses, 45RO-5Al2O3-50P2O5 (R=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba), irradiated by electrons (1.0 MeV), and comparative data are provided for intensities of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) and other radiation and physical parameters of glass. The dependence of the energy emitted in the form of EMR upon the radiation dose was found to be complex and to correlate with the amount of the accumulated charge. EMR is dependent on the energy of the relationship of ''cation-modifier-oxygen''. EMR intensity was noted to increase with higher energies of the above relationship
