Description
The emission of oxygen recoil ions by bombardment with 400-2500 eV argon ions is measured as a function of substrate temperature and of oxygen coverage on a W(100) surface at a fixed emission angle (relative to the incident beam) of 640 using a cylindrical mirror analyzer. The experimental data are evaluated using the binary collision model and give information on the scattering process and the structure of the adsorption layer. (Auth.)
