On α-decay of Bi neutron-deficient isotopes

Description

An analysis of experimental data on α-decays of the neutron-deficient isotopes of Bi is performed in terms of the probabilities of α-particle formation. The analysis demonstrates, that there exists lightened α-transition of the ground state of Bi isotopes to the J=9/2- exited state of Tl isotopes. An interpretation of α-decays of Bi isomer states is presented. The estimations of partial halftimes Tsub(1/2) and those of fractions of α-decays for α-transitions detween the ground states of Bi and Tl odd isotopes are given. Theoretical analysis of experimental data on α-decays of Bi isotopes demonstrates that the energies of α-transitions between the ground states, calculated earlier in terms of nuclide binding energies, are in a satisfactory agreement with all the experimental data. Supposition on the lightened α-decay of isomer states of Bi odd isotopes may be checked via determination of spins and parities of the states and more accurate determination of α-decay fractions
