A special manipulator DIZAP-48 ET for in-service non-destructive inspection of the materials nuclear power plant equipment

In-service non-destructive testing of the materials and the weld joints represents one of the trends sustaining a high level of nuclear power plant operation's security. Due to harsh conditions during performance of non-destructive inspection in nuclear power plant (high radiation, contamination of the inspected equipment, etc.), most of inspection is performed with use of remote controlled manipulators. Manipulators provide movement of inspecting probes on the equipment's surfaces. A special manipulator DIZAP-48 ET, for eddy-current inspection of condition of a threaded holes M 48 x 5 on the flange of steam-generator's collector was developed in VUJE, a.s.
