Development towards the magnetic field mapping (MFM) system

  • 1. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Bidhannagar, Kolkata (India)
  • 2. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

The primary objective of developing this system is to measure the median plane magnetic field of the superconducting cyclotron magnet (max. field 6T). The field mapping is required to be done with the radial interval of 0.8 mm and angular intervals of 0.5 deg. This paper describes the progress towards the development of an MFM system to be used for superconducting magnet and also a developed prototype MFM test bench used for measurement of a Glaser magnet.
