Description
FACTS equipment based on power electronics and control technology has made great help to the optimization of power systems. The Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is the most promising FACTS device due to its flexible regulation and complete functions. This paper analyzes the basic composition and working principle of UPFC, studies the idea of voltage injection control and current injection control, and presents the building of relevant control loops.
