The deformation and orientation effect on reaction cross section with deformed targets
- 1. Dept. of Physics, Faculty of Science, Univ. of Cairo, Cairo (Egypt)
Description
The reaction cross section (σR) for the deformed target nuclei and spherical colliding nuclei is calculated with application of the Glauber-Sitenko theory. The method constitutes the inclusion of both the density-dependent NN interaction and higher order deformations of the target nuclei in the colliding processes. The orientation and dependence of the σR deformations on the energy within the energy range of 30-900 MeV/A is studied. It is established that the orientation of the heavy target nucleus (A ≥ 120) may produce the difference in the σR calculations up to 30%
Abstract (Russian)
30%Additional details
