Influence of the structure transformations on the optical properties Co thin films

Description
The refraction and adsorption indices of amorphous and crystal Co of thin films were measured in a wide spectral region 0.25-17.0 μm (0.07-4.96 eV) at room temperature. On this basis the contributions to the optical conductivity are made due to the interband transitions. It is shown that in the structure transformations 'amorphous - crystalline state' the optical properties of metallic Co are determined mainly by nearest neighborhood and the electronic structure is not subjected to significant modifications.
