Full text: In view of the inherent climatic changes and faster rising of ocean levels, a radical option is now opened for a short-term solution with nuclear fusion excluding environmental problems with radioactive radiation. The option is the use of Chirped Pulse Amplification CPA laser pulses the discover of which was highlighted by the 2018 Physics Nobel Prize to Gerard Mourou and Donna Strickland. This reached such an extreme ultrahigh measured power level that the ignition of controlled fusion reactions in an electricity generator is possible, without needing the usual very high thermal fusion pressures with dozens of millions ℃ temperatures. Measurements of record energy densities with >1012 J/cm3 with CPA confirm the predominance of the non-thermal pressures from CPA pulses driven by the nonlinear force for ultrahigh picosecond acceleration of plasma blocks to ignite the environmentally clean, safe, low cost fusion of hydrogen with the abounded boron-11 isotope where the design of a reactor has Mourou as co-author. This was first disclosed in 2015 based on Australian crucial research contributions. (author)
