Reliability of semi-classical calculations for collisional lineshapes in the v2 ammonia band

Description
Diode laser measurements, recently published for self-and N2 broadening in the v2 ammonia band, are proved in agreement with predictions of the semi-classical ATC theory. Discrepancies for the self-shifts calculated by other authors are also discussed
