Distribution of solid polydisperse particles over the volume of metallic melt

Description

With the aim of forecasting mechanical properties of disperse particle containing alloys a study was made into the distribution of particles in melt and their volumetric share is determined. Analytical expressions are obtained which allow estimating the acceptable duration of holding at heat for a liquid matrix - disperse particles system and predicting particle distribution over the melt volume. The calculation is represented for liquid-phase sintering in nickel-titanium carbide system. 7 refs
