Development in (X-eX) spectrometer for coincident measurement of the Compton scattered photon and recoil electron

Description

Three dimensional electron momentum density (3D-EMD) can be obtained from the measurement of coincidences between the Compton scattered photon and recoil electron (X-eX). We developed a new (X-eX) spectrometer in order to make it possible to apply this method to thicker and heavier specimens. The new spectrometer has an electrode in the recoil electron path itself to generate a retarded potential. The momentum resolution is achieved as 0.31 a.u. in the experimental condition of the incident X-ray's energy (115.6 keV) and the applied potential (-23 kV)
