Description

Radiation monitoring is divided into the monitoring of the movement of radioactive substances in the nuclear power plant, the monitoring of the radiation situation inside the operating areas and the monitoring of the radiation situation in the environment of the nuclear power plant. Technical means for securing radiation monitoring are divided into the centralized system of radiation monitoring, sampling and portable monitoring instruments. The current state and experience gained with the operation of the A-1 and V-1 nuclear power plants in Czechoslovakia where dosimetric units have been set up for securing radiation safety are described.
