Method of solving the isoperimetric problem of isotope irradiation optimization
Description
The algorithm of solving the reactor optimization problem with isoperimetric conditions is drawn. The problem is solved in terms of the iterative method directly using the maximum principle. The thermal and resonance neutron fluxes which ensure maximum yield of 238Pu and 238Np under irradiation of a 237Np target in a nuclear reactor are determined. The algorithm is realized in the PLUTON code and a number of its subcodes in the FORTRAN-DUBNA language for the BESM-6 computer
